WHITE CLOUD CLUB
On Tuesday evening, August 1, 2023, members of the White Cloud Club and guests enjoyed supper at the home of Gene and Betty Lintz. The Lintz's hosted the group in their shop/ display room for their guests to enjoy the display of wildlife from their many years of hunting trips.
Guests enjoyed the meal and the variety of dishes each member had contributed for the potluck dinner. Following the meal, and a time of catching up on everyone's summer activities, a short business meeting was held. President Jolene opened the meeting with a brief update on the Club's entry in the Crawfordsville Fun Days parade.
Betty Lintz drove her convertible in the parade with Margaret Patterson in the passenger seat. The car was bedecked with a huge sign that read WHITE CLOUD CLUB--83 YEARS!!!
New Business included Margaret sharing the planned stops for the club's annual tour scheduled for Tuesday, September 5. The day will begin with a light brunch in the Fellowship Hall of the United Church of Crawfordsville. From there members will carpool to the Swedish Museum in Swedesburg for a guided tour of their displays recapping the settlement of Swedish immigrants in the area.
The next stop will be at Box Car Treasurers just off Hwy 218 south of Crawfordsville. Members will be invited to browse and shop their extensive display of collectibles and memorabilia. The group will then head to Winfield to have lunch at El Mariachi Restaurant followed by a few stops in the Winfield area.
One birthday gift was presented to a member with a recent birthday.
It was decided that the October 3 meeting will be held at Wayland at Your Choice Family Restaurant at 11:30 a.m. At that meeting, members will reveal their Mystery Sisters and there will be an election of officers/committees for 2024.
Jolene thanked Gene and Betty for hosting and also, Virginia Sands for the treats at each table.
Those enjoying the evening included Jay and Carrie Coble, Andy and Jolene Colthurst, Gene and Pat Miller, Margaret Patterson, Floyd and Pauline Richardson, Virginia Sands and the hosts Gene and Betty Lintz.
