New campus Lions Club forms at IWU

Don Foor, 9SE District Governor, is pleased to announce the formation of a Campus Lions Club at Iowa Wesleyan University, in Mt. Pleasant.
Twenty-five students and faculty have agreed to join Lions Clubs International to provide service on their campus and in their community of Mt. Pleasant. Lions Clubs are the largest service organization in the world with over 46,000 Lions Clubs; including 500 Campus Lions Clubs serving their communities in 214 countries.
IWU ranks as Iowa's first co-educational institution of higher learning and the oldest of its type west of the Mississippi River. Rev. Ronald Bupp is the faculty advisor for the new group. The president is Elijah Westercamp.
A charter banquet will be held at the Iowa Wesleyan University Social Hall on Monday, April 18, at 6 p.m. Winfield Lions Club is sponsoring Iowa Wesleyan University to become a Charter Campus Lions Club.
Charter member status of IWU Campus Lions Club is available to all new members if they join by May 2, 2016. Community members interested in being a part of this net group may contact the above officers.
