New church opens on Main Street

What an exciting time of the year we are in. We are getting ready to celebrate the birth of Jesus! The sound of Christmas music fills the air and makes most people happy.

The New Life Pentecostal Church is also filled with excitement! My wife and our family came to Washington 10 years ago this past April. When we came to town, we met at the Blair House. After a couple of years, the pastor of the Assembly of God Church at that time, Jim Cluney, invited us to use their facilities. What a blessing they were to us! That was eight years ago. Last month we found out that a building on the square came open! After securing the rental of the building, we began the process of getting it ready for services ? we had our first service on Dec. 7, 2014. Services are being held at the building next to Adellya?s on the north side of the square. The address is 122 W. Main St.

It?s always exciting to be in God?s will! On Jan. 4, we will be dedicating our building ? having a ?Grand Opening,? if I might say! Our services start at 10 a.m. on Sunday, and on Wednesday evening we will be having Bible study at 7 p.m.
