New fundraising style for Washington Boy Scouts

Washington's Boy Scouts of America Pack and Troop 242 will not go door to door for its annual Scouting for Food drive this year, but it will accept donations in two other ways.
Donations can be dropped off at Archer's in Washington between Oct. 5-9 during regular business hours only or on Sunday Oct. 11 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Text Kathy Fields at 319-461-3016 and let her know your address. A Troop Leader will come by and pick up your donation. Donors are asked to leave their donation in a visible place in front of their residence. They are asked to check the expiration dates of the donations, since the Scouts cannot accept outdated food.
