New London High brings ?Grease? to the stage

The New London High School Vocal Music Department will present the musical comedy, ?Grease? on Friday and Saturday, March 3 and March 4, at 7 p.m., in the New London High School auditorium.

Proceeds benefit future productions of the music department.

New London?s production of ?Grease? includes a cast of over 30 students and features set design and choreography developed by the students themselves. A live pit orchestra comprised of local musicians accompanies the musical numbers.

All of New London High School?s choir members participate in the production.

The story follows a group of rowdy students as they sing, dance, and romance their way through 1959 Rydell High School.

Cory Byrne is currently in his fourth year as K-12 Vocal Music Director. He will play the piano in the pit orchestra in addition to directing the spring musical.
