New London High School Class of 1979 plans 40th runion

The New London High School Class of 1979 will hold its 40th class reunion in conjunction with the New London High School Homecoming on Oct. 4 and 5, 2019. A group of classmates met on July 13 to begin the planning process.

Class members are invited to gather informally at Woobie's, 134 W. Main in New London, after the high school football game on Friday, Oct. 4.

On Saturday, Oct. 5, beginning at 5 p.m., class members are invited to Kevin and Erica Pickles' cabin at 3391 Penn Avenue, New London, just south of Lowell. Teachers and members of the 1978 and 1980 New London classes are welcome to attend.

At the Saturday event, planning committee members will provide snacks, and the PIG OUT Food Truck will be available from 6 to 8 p.m., offering a variety of barbecue entrees and sides for purchase. Those attending are asked to bring their own drinks and lawn chairs. Questions can be directed to Kevin Pickle at 319-572-4120.
