New London Lions Club serving drive-up breakfast Saturday

When Old Threshers canceled for this year, there was disappointment, but for the New London Lions, it meant their biggest fundraiser of the year was canceled too. So being resourceful people, they hope to recoup some of their project money on Saturday, Aug. 29. They will be serving their most popular item: the Red Barn Breakfast.

The Red Barn Breakfast consists of two sausage patties, two biscuits and gravy, eggs, and hash browns. If that's more food than you think you can eat, there is also a half-order. The breakfast will be served at the city park shelter house in New London from 7-10:30 am. You can drive up and be served or eat in the park. Cash and debit or credit cards accepted.

Beverages will also be available and will include coffee, tea, or orange juice. The club will take pre-orders until Thursday; phone 319-759-2629 to place your order.
