New London student awarded scholarship
OTTUMWA ? Ashley Birdsell of New London Jr.-Sr. High School was awarded a $2,000 Community 1st Credit Union continuing education scholarship this spring.
The credit union will present $42,000 to 19 area high school seniors in May.
Birdsell was ranked at the top of more than 100 total applications submitted in categories. A total of two $4,000 scholarships and 17 for $2,000 each were awarded.
