New youth art classes announced
The Fairfield Art Association will be hosting one final youth art class before school starts, from 1:15-3:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Fairfield Arts and Convention Center?s art studio.
Art teacher Elaine Duncan will instruct students in second through seventh grade on how to paint birdhouses on garden stakes.

The Fairfield Art Association will be hosting one final youth art class before school starts, from 1:15-3:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Fairfield Arts and Convention Center?s art studio.
Art teacher Elaine Duncan will instruct students in second through seventh grade on how to paint birdhouses on garden stakes.
All materials will be provided. Cost is $12 per person, and preregistration is suggested by sending an email to elaine@elaine-duncan.com or calling 472-1883.
The Fairfield Art Association also is interested in hearing from parents and students about art projects they are interested in for class planning, along with convenient dates and times.
Another class, ?Mentoring Young Artists - Individualized Visual Art Lessons,? will be from 4:15-5:15 p.m. Thursdays following the start of school. Taught by Kella Moschkau, the class is open to a limited number of students in second grade and above. Most materials are furnished, and cost is $10 for art association members and $12 for non-members. Preregistration is required by sending an email to kella@kellaj.com.
Additionally, John Preston will again be offering weekly pastel classes beginning in September. Classes will be Tuesday afternoons.
