Mark's mother-in-law, Nancy Tarbell, of Burlington, surprised everyone Sunday morning by stopping in for the church service and spending the day. On Monday, she went on to Kansas City to care for grandchildren there for a few days.
On Monday, Richard Bell headed to Burlington for a weekly meeting, then to the caucus, in West Point. Cheryl Bell and her grandchildren, Samuel and Clara Jo, stopped in Quincy for cheeseburgers on the way to Grandpa and Grandma's house. They also attended the caucus in West Point. Although the Bells have a Hillsboro address, they actually live in northwest Lee County.
On Wednesday morning, Cheryl and her grandchildren headed back to Paris, via Quincy. They stopped at the Quincy Museum, where the children enjoyed the hands-on Native American exhibits, the Dinosaur Room, and the Rock and Gemstone display.
