The Crawfordsville Lions Club met on Monday, March 13, 2017, for their dinner meeting at the Crawfordsville Community Room with 14 members and one guest, Jim Howell, present.
Lion President Billie Jo Rose opened the meeting with the Pledge of Allegiance and Lion Larry Fletcher gave the invocation.

The Crawfordsville Lions Club met on Monday, March 13, 2017, for their dinner meeting at the Crawfordsville Community Room with 14 members and one guest, Jim Howell, present.
Lion President Billie Jo Rose opened the meeting with the Pledge of Allegiance and Lion Larry Fletcher gave the invocation.
Following the meal prepared and served by Alice Hochstetler, the meeting reconvened.
Guest Jim Howell gave an interesting presentation about an agricultural tour he had taken to Cuba last year citing their exports, crops they grow and about their culture.
In the absence of Lion Secretary, Nancy Love, Lion Randy Finke read the minutes of the Feb. 13, 2017 meeting. They were approved as read. He also gave the treasurer's report.
In unfinished business, it was noted that there is bacon and sausage left from the pancake supper yet to be sold. It was noted $500 will be given to the WACO Scholarship Fund from proceeds of the pancake supper and the club voted to give $200 to the DuVall family to help with some of their expenses with their son's surgery.
An invitation was read from the Winfield Lions Club inviting us to their 75th anniversary celebration on Saturday evening, March 25, 2017.
Everyone was reminded of the District Convention to be held on March 31 and April 1 at Lone Tree.
Lion Tail Twister Larry Fletcher turned over money he collected in the past meetings for club fines. The meeting adjourned with him entertaining with more trivia questions.
Twelve members of the Crawfordsville Wednesday Study Club met at the United Church of Crawfordsville on Wednesday, March 15, 2017.
Following the flag salute and recitation of the Club Collect, President Pauline Richardson conducted a brief business meeting including the minutes of the last meeting and the treasurer's report.
Many interesting book briefs were shared by members.
Marilyn Rees led a group share program on "Home Remedies". Many varied and unusual home remedies/treatments for various ailments and house cleaning hints were shared.
Hostesses Rachel Koehler and Linda Wiltfang served delicious refreshments.
The next meeting will be held on April 19, 2017.
