On Saturday, Oct. 17, the Hillsboro Fire and Rescue Department's had their annual soup supper and bingo fundraiser at the Hillsboro Community Center.

One-time winners of the bingo tournament that followed the supper included: Hannah Reinier, Mark Wells, Robert Burke, Jason Rhode, Judy George, Melvin George, Tara Benacka, Marilyn Shelledy, Shirley Giberson, Heidi Wells and Chad Brousseau.

Two-time winners included: Teresa Knowles, Arlene Deao, Terri Reinier and Carol Kennedy.

Three time winners included: Ruth Messer, Paula Anthony, Lucille Hudson, Linda Carter, Thelma Kruse and Nancy Griffin.

Four time winners included: Lori Giberson and Rhonda White. The blackout winner was Marilyn Shelledy.

In other news, Hillsboro's Trick-or-Treat night will held on Saturday, Oct. 31, from 5 to 7 p.m. If residents would like to participate in this event, leave a porch light on. Those traveling through town are asked to drive slow and watch for children who may not look both ways before crossing the street.
