Night hike set at Marr Park
MOUNT PLEASANT ? Henry County Conservation Department?s Annual Night Hike is set from 6-7:30 p.m. Monday at Oakland Mills.
This year?s theme is ?Star Track,? and focuses on the fourth-grade astronomy curriculum, however, it is appropriate for all ages. Children must be accompanied by an adult, but adults do not need to be accompanied by a child. Reservations are not necessary.

MOUNT PLEASANT ? Henry County Conservation Department?s Annual Night Hike is set from 6-7:30 p.m. Monday at Oakland Mills.
This year?s theme is ?Star Track,? and focuses on the fourth-grade astronomy curriculum, however, it is appropriate for all ages. Children must be accompanied by an adult, but adults do not need to be accompanied by a child. Reservations are not necessary.
The free program is open to the public, and properly supervised groups are welcome.
The program is educational and fun, not scary.
Groups will depart on a short hike from in front of the Oakland Mills Nature Center every 10 minutes, with the last one leaving at 7:20 p.m.
The walk is on solid surface conducive to strollers.
Kids can register for a prize, but must be present to win. Activities are planned in the Environmental Education Classroom at Oakland Mills Nature Center.
In the event of inclement weather, the hike will be rescheduled for Thursday.
This event will continue to be on the first Monday of October each year.
