NL baseball team drops first game

NEW LONDON ? The New London baseball team had trouble getting their offense going during their first baseball game of the season on Tuesday. The Tigers lost 8-0 at home against Cardinal.
The Comets scored one run in the first inning, three each in the fourth and fifth and one in the seventh.

NEW LONDON ? The New London baseball team had trouble getting their offense going during their first baseball game of the season on Tuesday. The Tigers lost 8-0 at home against Cardinal.
The Comets scored one run in the first inning, three each in the fourth and fifth and one in the seventh.
New London was held to just three hits on the day. Britt Noel went 1-1, Mason Porter was 1-3 and Jax Boyer finished 1-3 as well.
Noel started the game on the mound, throwing two and two-thirds innings and giving up one earned run on two hits and one walk, while striking out one batter.
Darius Whaley threw two and one-third innings and gave up six earned runs on five hits and three walks. Javis Krieger threw two innings and gave up one earned run on two hits and a walk, while striking out one.
New London will look to bounce back tonight (Wednesday) when they take on Mediapolis on the road. That game is set to begin at 7 p.m.
