No. 5 New London sweeps Danville

DANVILLE ? The fifth-ranked New London volleyball team topped rival Danville in three straight sets on Tuesday night. The Tigers mauled the Bears 25-15, 25-9 and 25-11 to win their 13th game in a row.
The Tigers had three players finish a double-digit kill total. Breanan Mettler had 16 kills. Ashley Birdsell netted 15 kills and Kaylor Schulte had 10.

DANVILLE ? The fifth-ranked New London volleyball team topped rival Danville in three straight sets on Tuesday night. The Tigers mauled the Bears 25-15, 25-9 and 25-11 to win their 13th game in a row.
The Tigers had three players finish a double-digit kill total. Breanan Mettler had 16 kills. Ashley Birdsell netted 15 kills and Kaylor Schulte had 10.
Savannah Sutherland filled the stat sheet with 32 assists, 18 digs and two kills. Carson McSorley had 19 digs to lead the team. Camryn Blint tallied 11 digs in the win, and both Kristen Rohdy and Jaden Streeter ended the game with seven.
Blint had a huge day serving, going 24-25 with five aces. McSorley was 18-10 with two aces. McSorley was 18-20 with two aces, and Rohdy had an ace as well to give New London a total of eight on the day.
The Tigers moved to 29-3 with the win. They will face off with No. 7 Holy Trinity Catholic on Thursday in New London. That game is set to start at 7:30 p.m.
