Nordykes celebrating 60th wedding anniversary

Kenneth and Doris Nordyke of Richland will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary with an open house from 2-4 p.m. Sunday at Elsie?s Barn near Richland.

Doris Guy and Kenneth Nordyke were married Sept. 1, 1956, in Brighton. They moved to their farm south of Richland immediately following their marriage and then retired to their present home in Richland 20 years ago. Mrs. Nordyke also was employed as registered nurse at Jefferson County Hospital.

The couple has four children, Judy Jackson and husband Verl Jr. of Hedrick, Janet Conger and husband Larry of Packwood, Laurie Bennett and husband David of Richland, and Alan Nordyke and wife Ann of Warrensburg, Missouri. They also have 10 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
