Chapter DL/ T.T.T. met on Monday, Nov. 12, at the home of Julie Timmins. Co-hostess was Julie Mangold. Seventeen members attended. Robyn Lamb, president, introduced Laura Curran, State T.T.T. Treasurer from Fairfield. Laura told about her history in T.T.T. and some of the important issues at the state and national level.
Phyllis Eisele reported that the nuts arrived and a team of members met two days to package and distribute the nuts for sale. Phyllis has additional inventory for anyone who wants to purchase more. This is the club's annual fundraiser to support sending girls to camp in June.
She was to have a table for nut sales at the Halcyon Craft Show on Nov. 17.
Denise Chalupa reported she sent four November birthday cards to former campers. Linda McNeil reported that the camp committee will be purchasing Christmas gifts for the four current camp girls. It was approved by the members to purchase local grocery gift certificates for the four current camper families at Thanksgiving and at Christmas.
Cathy Lewis presented the budget for this fiscal year. It was approved by member vote.
A donation was approved for the Holiday event WCDC hosts for their clients.
Laura Curran, State T.T.T. Treasurer, reported that the State T.T.T. Convention will be April 12-13, 2019, at the Radisson in Coralville- Iowa City. The National T.T.T. Convention in October will be in Cedar Rapids. She encouraged attendance at both conventions.
Julie Timmins and Julie Mangold served refreshments after the business meeting.
The next meeting will be held at the Applewood Bistro, at 6 p.m. on Dec. 11.
This is the club's annual dinner meeting and gift exchange. Reservations should be made to Marilyn Mangold by Dec. 1.
