Spring is on its way ? and so is the Washington County Rotary Club?s Daffodil Days campaign. Residents have until Feb. 23 to place their orders for daffodils.
This year, the Washington and Wellman Rotary Clubs will be coordinating the Daffodil Days campaign. Susan Wellington, chair of the campaign, saw an opportunity to continue this successful fundraiser in Washington County that will continue to support the American Cancer Society Relay For Life of Washington County as well as the Washington and Wellman Rotary Clubs.
?After the success of last year?s campaign which raised $3,500 and was split equally between Rotary and Relay For Life, we wanted to continue it for 2015 in order to raise as much money as possible," she said. "With Bob Freeman coordinating the sales out of Wellman and the continued commitment of Rotarians and Relay For life volunteers in Washington, I believe it will be an even bigger success than last year.?
Ordering daffodils for friends, customers, and employees can brighten their days, desks, or dinner tables. Make a minimum $10 donation to receive a bunch of approximately 10 daffodils, a bunch and a vase is $15, and potted mini daffodils are back at $15 as well.
Orders are now being taken by many Rotarians and Relay For Life volunteers. You may call Susan Wellington (653-2661), Kierstan Peck (763-300-0280) or Bob Freeman (319-936-7773) to place an order as well.
