Orientation and 'Meet the Teachers Night' to be held Aug. 18

The Washington Middle School will host its annual student/parent orientation and ?Meet the Teachers Night? from 5 to 7 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 18.

Sixth-grade students/parents will receive their schedules and meet the teachers from 5 to 5:30 p.m., followed by a parent orientation meeting in the middle school auditorium from 5:30 to 5:45 p.m. Public health staff will be available at the orientation meeting and through the evening to discuss required immunizations.

Any interested parent of a sixth- seventh-or eighth-grade student is invited to attend a Schoology parent login meeting in the auditorium from 5:45 to 6 p.m. Seventh-and eighth-grade students/parents will receive their schedules and meet the teachers from 6 to 7 p.m.

Parents and students are asked to enter through the east doors and are encouraged to bring supplies and place those in their lockers.

Fall sports information will be available, and completed forms can be turned in at this time. There will be a sign-up for parents interested in participating in the PIE (Parents in Education) support group.

Textbook fees and lunch money can be paid in the office during this time.
