OTTUMWA ? Outdoor Women?s Adventures: Fish, Bows and Flies! is planned from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sept. 15 at Pioneer Ridge Nature Area near Ottumwa.
Outdoor Women?s Adventures is a joint program between the Wapello and Jefferson county conservation boards dedicated to getting women outdoors in a comfortable and encouraging environment. The events are for women ages 16 and older with or without experience in the topics to be covered. Programs will be offered one or more times per year, each with a different activity or theme.
The inaugural Outdoor Women?s Adventures event will introduce women to fly-tying and fly-fishing, archery and bow-fishing.
