OUTDOORS: Birding program set Monday at Jefferson County Park

Join Diane Porter of BirdWatching.com and former Jefferson County Naturalist Therese Cummiskey for a morning birding hike at 9 a.m. Monday, Sept. 9.

Along the hike, participants will keep an eye out for the warblers that are starting to move through the area, in addition to any interesting resident birds.

Participants should be sure to wear comfortable walking shoes and bring binoculars if available. A few extras binoculars on hand for those who need them.

The hike begins at the Cedar View Trail on 32nd Street, which is also known as Suburban Heights Road.

Pre-registration is not required.
