OUTDOORS: Bow-making workshop registration due by Monday

A bow-making workshop is planned April 27-28 at Jefferson County Park's shelter No. 3; registration is due by Monday.

Gene Winter, owner of Winter Bow Shoppe in Waterloo,will lead the workshop.

Participants will make a bow from one piece of osage orange wood.

Because of the time involved in making a selfbow and the one-on-one instruction required, the program is limited to six participants. Participants must be 18 or over.

The program runs from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day, although the second day could end earlier if the bow makers have completed their bow.
