Packed house for 4-H sheep project meeting

4-H Sheep Project members gathered April 8 at the Extension Office to cover several important spring topics. 4-H volunteer project leader, Duane Sprouse, led the meeting with 20 4-H'ers and their parents. They covered topics like lamb selection, size, breed, exercise, feed, and weigh-in procedures.
All market lamb projects and state fair lambs must attend the May 2 weigh-in for identification and collection of starting weights between 8 to 10:30 a.m. the Washington County Fairgrounds.
The second sheep project meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m. May 13 at the Extension Office to cover record keeping, feeding, and training.
