Paddle under the light of the moon Thursday
Jun. 20, 2021 8:51 pm
Paddle under the light of the Full Moon. Naturalist Brittney Tiller will lead participants out on the water as she interprets the various constellations and objects of the sky from the calm waters of the lake at Lacey-Keosauqua State Park. The paddle will be held on Thursday beginning at 9 p.m.
The paddle will begin and end at the boat ramp on the lake. The paddle is open to everyone; however, children under age 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Paddle registration is limited to 20 boats. Jefferson County Conservation has several kayaks that participants may pre-register to borrow.
This is an official Des Moines River Water Trails event cosponsored by the Iowa Department of Natural Resources and Jefferson County Conservation. The Des Moines River Water Trail is one of 19 official water trails in Iowa.
