BLOOMFIELD ? The Mt. Pleasant boys? tennis team suffered a nail-biting 5-4 loss on Thursday evening in their road matchup with Davis County.
The Panthers went 2-4 in singles matches. Ben Zihlman squeaked out a win in the No. 2 slot, by the score of 9-8(5), and Matt Thorne was victorious in the fifth slot, by the score of 8-5.

BLOOMFIELD ? The Mt. Pleasant boys? tennis team suffered a nail-biting 5-4 loss on Thursday evening in their road matchup with Davis County.
The Panthers went 2-4 in singles matches. Ben Zihlman squeaked out a win in the No. 2 slot, by the score of 9-8(5), and Matt Thorne was victorious in the fifth slot, by the score of 8-5.
Losses in individual matches came from top-ranked Austin Meyer, 8-6, No. 3 Ethan Webber, 8-3, No. 4 Colin Batty, 8-4, and No. 6 Nick Sandeen, 9-8(5).
Mt. Pleasant picked up two wins in doubles matches. The team of Meyer and Zihlman fought to win the No. 1 doubles match, 9-8(6), and the team of Thorne and Sandeen pulled out a 9-7 win in the No. 3 slot. In the No. 2 doubles match, Weber and Batty dropped the game, 8-5.
Mt. Pleasant fell to 0-2 overall with the loss. The Panthers will be back on the road on Monday, April 4, where they will take on Centerville in another non-conference match.
