Panther boys win first home golf meet of the season

The Mt. Pleasant boys? golf team had their first home meet of the year on Thursday in a triangular against SEC rivals Washington and Ft. Madison.
The Panthers won the meet with a final score of 151, which topped Washington (153) by two strokes. Ft. Madison finished in a distant third, with a 197.

The Mt. Pleasant boys? golf team had their first home meet of the year on Thursday in a triangular against SEC rivals Washington and Ft. Madison.
The Panthers won the meet with a final score of 151, which topped Washington (153) by two strokes. Ft. Madison finished in a distant third, with a 197.
Trace White and Jeff Cox were co-medalists for the Panthers, each finishing at 36.
White made par on every hole. Cox had a couple of bogeys on the day but made a birdie on hole five and hole nine.
Trevor Mabeus finished sixth overall and third on the team with a 39. Riley Kempker scored a 40 and Bailey Shelledy and Jacob Feldmann each finished at 41.
The Panther boys will be back at home twice next week. They?ll face Keokuk on Tuesday, April 18, and Fairfield on Thursday, April 20. Both meets will be at 4 p.m.
