Panther girls? tennis falls to West Burlington-Notre Dame

The Mt. Pleasant girls' tennis team took on West Burlington-Notre Dame in a non-conference matchup on Tuesday evening. The Panthers were bested by WB-ND 8-1.
Mt. Pleasant went 5-1 in singles competition. The lone win came in the No. 5 match when Shaleen Thiengmany swept her opponent 8-0.
Quin Whaley fell 8-3 in the No. 1 matchup. Erin Zihlman dropped the No. 2 matchup 8-2. ...

The Mt. Pleasant girls? tennis team took on West Burlington-Notre Dame in a non-conference matchup on Tuesday evening. The Panthers were bested by WB-ND 8-1.
Mt. Pleasant went 5-1 in singles competition. The lone win came in the No. 5 match when Shaleen Thiengmany swept her opponent 8-0.
Quin Whaley fell 8-3 in the No. 1 matchup. Erin Zihlman dropped the No. 2 matchup 8-2. Hallie Sandeen fell in the No. 3 game 8-1. No. 4 Sierra Bartston dropped her match 8-2, and Breanna Ruynon fell 8-4 in the No. 6 match.
The Panthers were swept in the three varsity doubles matches. Whaley and Zilman lost the No. 1 game 8-2. Sandeen and Barton fell in the No. 2 match 8-1, and the No. 3 team of Thiengmany and Runyon fell 8-2.
Mt. Pleasant fell in three junior varsity matches as well. Olivia Larson lost a singles match 6-3. Madecyn Anderson and Mikayla Ackles fell 6-1 in a doubles match, and Maggie Fitzpatrick and Chelsea Anderson fell 6-0 in their doubles match.
The Mt. Pleasant girls will be back to Southeast Conference play on Friday, April 20, when they head to Keokuk. That meet is scheduled to start at 4:30 p.m.
