Panther Girls? track underway

CEDAR FALLS ? The Mt. Pleasant girls' track team began the 2018 season on Monday at the Dickinson Relays in Cedar Falls. The Panthers were one of a laundry list of teams, which included squads from all different classes.
The Panthers had just a handful of athletes running in the events, but did end up with five top-25 finishes.

CEDAR FALLS ? The Mt. Pleasant girls? track team began the 2018 season on Monday at the Dickinson Relays in Cedar Falls. The Panthers were one of a laundry list of teams, which included squads from all different classes.
The Panthers had just a handful of athletes running in the events, but did end up with five top-25 finishes.
The best result of the night went to the Mt. Pleasant 4X800 team of Cristina Carthey, Maggie Cristoforo, Kendall Dascher and Taylor Murray. The Panthers finished in eighth place, with a final time of 10:41.83.
Lexie Magnani had a top 15 finish for Mt. Pleasant int he shot put. She threw a 34-03, which was good enough for 14th place.
Mt. Pleasant had two runners hit the top 25 in the 400-meter dash. Cristoforo crossed the line in 19th place, finishing in 1:05.23. Murray ran the race in 1:05.75 for 22nd.
Abby Ryon competed in the 1500-meter run for the Panthers. She ran a 15:12.74, for a final placement of 23rd.
The Panther boys will be in Cedar Falls today (Tuesday) for the boys? relays, which begin at 3 p.m. The girls will be at Cornell College on Thursday, March 8, at 4 p.m.
