FHS principal Brian Stone is reminding parents and guardians that communication between home and school is extremely critical toward providing an effective instructional environment for children.
?As we prepare for parent/teacher conferences, we look forward to your insights regarding your child?s education and input about the school year,? said Stone. ?As a parent, you provide valuable information for your child?s classroom teacher, so they are better able to address your child?s needs. Our teachers truly appreciate your support that you give to your child in his/her education while at home.?
Stone said that during a conference, the teacher will be sharing information about the child?s achievement, work habits, and peer relationships. ?Please feel free to write down any questions that you may have for the conference,? he added.
No school will be held Nov. 4.
No school will be held Nov. 7. It is a professional development day for staff.
Parents and guardians should note the dates of the conferences and no-school days have changed. The district?s calendar originally had the conferences and early dismissals set for Nov. 8 and Nov. 10, and no school on Nov. 11 and Nov. 14.
Now, Nov. 8 and 10 will have a normal dismissal time, and school will be in session Nov. 11 and Nov. 14.
