Parson to Person - Being touched by God

The other day while traveling, my wife and I began to reminisce upon people who have touched our lives over the years. People we have met in our congregations, nursing homes, schools and through basic living. Over the years, we have had many people that have blessed us and these people have become the joys and basis of many stories.
There was one experience that comes to mind about a dear friend (who is now in heaven) whom wanted to bless us by weeding our garden. Unfortunately, he didn?t know the difference between the weeds and the carrots.
You and I have known many people who have blessed our lives personally and publicly.
Let us not forget the people that we have had the opportunity to bless. I have the rich blessing of visiting numerous nursing homes while doing ministry. Sometimes I share God?s Word, my record programs, or worship.
Matthew 14:34b-35 says, ?People brought all their sick to Him and begged Him to let the sick just touch the edge of His cloak, and all who touched Him were healed.?
Jesus touched many people: the woman who touched the hem of his garment and others touched by His love and messages. Zacchaeus was a tax collector who most people disposed and hated, but Jesus transformed this man by touching his life.
We are blessed people when we reach out and share the love of Christ with people.
Think of when the love of Christ met you. Touched by the Master in some way that made you realize you will never be the same. To surrender your will and life to Christ realizing who this savior is.
Some people have been touched by Christ in familiar places, others in prison and dark places. But the joy of the story is to have met the master.
?Since I met this blessed savior,
Since He cleansed and made me whole,
I will never cease to praise Him,
I?ll shout it while eternity rolls.
He touched me, o he touched me, and oh the joy that floods my soul!
Something happened, and now I know,
He touched me and made me whole.? (Bill Gaither)
