Pauls celebrate 60th wedding anniversary

Richard and Sandra (Sammons) Paul will be celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary on Oct. 13, 2023. The couple were married in 1963 at the Rome Baptist Church in Rome, IA in a 3:30 in the afternoon ceremony officiated by C.H. Peters.

The couple have two children Rhonda (Nick) Shelman of Washington, IA and Kevin Paul (Cathy Harper) of Brighton, IA, three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. The couple have lived in the same farm home for 57 of their 60 married years.

To celebrate their 60th anniversary, the couple, their children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren spent a weekend in St. Louis visiting the St. Louis Zoo and taking a riverboat cruise on the Mississippi River.
