Peace Poster winners

Fairfield Middle School eighth-graders Kristen Daugherty, left, and Kai-Li Diyaljee are presented Peace Poster contest awards by Fairfield Lions Club president Scott Vaughan during a luncheon in January at the Best Western Fairfield Inn?s Kokomo?s Cafe. Daugherty?s poster placed first, and Diyalje?s placed second. According to FMS art teacher Holly McDow, there were only three entries in the contest this year. Sixth-grader Ahillan Khumar was the other entrant. McDow said Daugherty participated in the contest each of the three years she was eligible and won first place as a sixth-grader and second place as a seventh-grader. McDow said the 2014 contest is about to begin and any interested student should stop by her classroom for more information.
