Peiffers to celebrate 50 years of matrimony

On Friday, May 14, Jim and Angie Peiffer will celebrate 50 years of marriage. Jim and Angie (Wolf) were married on May 14, 1971, in Washington, Iowa.

The couple have resided the majority of their marriage on their farm south of Washington. They have spent many blissful hours, days and years working together on their hog and row crop farm, and still engage in row crop farming.

The couple have raised four daughters, have 8-plus grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Traci and Shawn LaRue of Eddyville have two sons, Adam and Grant. Sally Shelman of Washington has two daughters, Carly (Matt) Moeller and Mady, and grandson, Levi Moeller. Julie and Tom Evans of Washington have one daughter, Leah and two sons Caden and Blake. Kati and Jason Schneider of West Branch have one son, Kason and one on the way.

The couple will celebrate their anniversary with a small get together with family and close friends.
