Pekin FFA team earns honors
AMES ? Peyton Greiner of Richland and Josh Sterling of Hedrick received the top award for the Industry Issues and Advocacy station during the Beef Scholarship Extravaganza held in December in Ames.

AMES ? Peyton Greiner of Richland and Josh Sterling of Hedrick received the top award for the Industry Issues and Advocacy station during the Beef Scholarship Extravaganza held in December in Ames.
Greiner and Sterling received the award from Kevin Carstensen of Odebolt, president of the Iowa Cattlemen?s Foundation, which organizes and hosts the event.
Greiner, Sterling and Dave Vetter of Ollie represented the Pekin FFA team in the competition, which involved 48 students from 18 teams. Students were challenged to demonstrate their skills and knowledge in beef and cattle production management.
