Members of Penn Workers 4-H Club met at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Jefferson County ISU Extension Office.
President Kelly Lacey called the meeting to order. Jacob Morgan gave a presentation on halter breaking a calf.
After the meeting, the club made 120 foam Easter eggs. Leaders Kim Lacey and Penny Morgan took the 4-H?ers to personally deliver the eggs to residents at SunnyBrook Assisted Living ...

PENN WORKERS 4-H CLUB
Members of Penn Workers 4-H Club met at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Jefferson County ISU Extension Office.

After the meeting, the club made 120 foam Easter eggs. Leaders Kim Lacey and Penny Morgan took the 4-H?ers to personally deliver the eggs to residents at SunnyBrook Assisted Living Center and SunnyBrook Living Care Center. The 4-H?ers and leaders wore 4-H T-shirts to represent the 4-H motto ?Our hands to larger service.?
The next meeting will be at 7 p.m. April 12 at the Extension office.

JEFFERSON/VAN BUREN READING CHAPTER
The Jefferson/Van Buren Chapter of the Iowa Reading Association will hold its annual ?Author?s Spotlight? at 6 p.m. Thursday at Washington Elementary School in Fairfield.
?Author?s Spotlight? is an event designated as a way to recognize the writing talents of area young people. The winners of the Iowa Reading Association creative writing contest are invited to come and read their winning selection to an audience of parents, teachers, Iowa Reading Association members and other special guests.
