?Pinkalicious? opens Friday for 10 shows

Two Roads Educational Arts and Theatre, Fairfield?s new professional theatre for young audiences, will open a 10-show run, including special events, of the wildly popular musical ?Pinkalicious? Friday through July 1 at its 70-seat theater in the Broadway Building.
?Pinkalicious the Musical,? about a girl who eats so many pink cupcakes she turns pink, is based on the book of the same name by Elizabeth and Victoria Kann.
TREAT combines local and national talent to create an entertaining show that is enjoyed by kids and adults.
Director Tim Seib currently is employed as special events coordinator at Carnegie Hall in New York and has received praise for his direction at Festival 56 in Princeton, Ill.
Local favorite and Northern Arizona-bound Shannon Cochran plays Mrs. Pinkerton, Pinkalicious? mother.
Fairfield Superstar 2011 runner-up and University of Iowa opera student Amy Toruno plays Dr. Wink who prescribes a diet of green food to ?cure? Pinkalicious.
New York-performer Kevin Patrick Martin, who has performed in Fairfield in ?Hair? and ?Into the Woods,? plays Mr. Pinkerton.
The other members of the cast include Minnesota State?s Bridgette Karl as the overindulgent Pinkalicious and recent Emerson College graduate Matt Koplik as her pink-loving little brother.
