Pioneer Cemetery Day just around the corner
The third annual Pioneer Cemetery Day will be held on Saturday, Sept. 12, at 2 p.m., at Cholera Hill Cemetery.
The purpose of Pioneer Cemetery Day is to honor early settlers and veterans buried in Henry County's pioneer cemeteries. This event is being hosted by the Henry County Pioneer Cemetery Commission. Those wishing to attend are asked to bring their own lawn chairs.

Cholera Hill Cemetery is located at 2250 Dakota Avenue, west of Mt. Pleasant. To locate the cemetery from Mt. Pleasant Central Park, drive West on Hwy. 34/Washington Street for 5.5 miles to Dakota Ave. Then, turn right on Dakota Ave., and drive approximately 1/2 mile. The cemetery is on the right side of Dakota Avenue.
