Fairfield Police Department investigated at 12:35 p.m. Thursday, prohibited acts ? fraudulent prescription reported on two occasions, in July and August at Fairfield Hy-Vee Food and Drug Store pharmacy; and also theft of cash from a residence in the 300 block of East Fillmore Avenue sometime between April and August.

12:56 p.m. a red and yellow child?s bike was reported missing.
3:18 p.m. report of a gas smell at a residence.
5:02 p.m. report of a dog chained at house, possibly abandoned. Owner located, said house still in name with ex-spouse and dog owner feeds and waters dog each day. Police advised dog to be registered with city and for owner to make sure to provide plenty of water.
6:58 p.m. Jefferson County Health Center emergency room staff notified police a patient in ER was clawed and scratched by own cat after chasing cat to save from a dog.
Saturday
12:11 a.m. report of disturbance-loud music. Police advised a group of 15 people or so playing drums and other musical instruments about complaint and the musicians left.
8:08 a.m. report of a telephone pole downed; no wires or lines down. Alliant knew about pole and were on the way. It was not knocked down, it fell because it was rotted.
4:17 p.m. Family Video reported a skateboarder in the parking lot who keeps skateboarding though asked to leave.
11:46 p.m. Colton Heckethorn, 20, was cited for driving under suspension.
