Polishville Center plans monthly events
Two dances and one lunch, with bingo, are planned during May at the Polishville Community Center.
The first dance will be Sunday. Due to recent heart surgery, the regularly scheduled dance with Lyle Beaver of Iowa City has been changed. Substituting will be the Larry Goodman Band of North English. Food will be sold beginning at 4:30 p.m., and dancing will be from 6-9 p.m.

Two dances and one lunch, with bingo, are planned during May at the Polishville Community Center.
The first dance will be Sunday. Due to recent heart surgery, the regularly scheduled dance with Lyle Beaver of Iowa City has been changed. Substituting will be the Larry Goodman Band of North English. Food will be sold beginning at 4:30 p.m., and dancing will be from 6-9 p.m.
A lunch, with bingo, is planned May 13. Lunch will be served from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Bingo will start at 12:30 p.m. Lunch and bingo events are planned the second Wednesday of each month.
The second dance of the month, with Ned Francis of Mt. Sterling providing the music, is planned May 17. Food will be available for purchase at 4:30 p.m., and the dance will be 6-9 p.m.
The events are open to the public.
Polishville Community Center is 10 miles northeast of Fairfield on Pleasant Plain Road, then 2.5 miles east on the graveled 136th Street.
