Fairfield Middle School student council member Kristen Daugherty stands next to a container full of aluminum pop tabs. Students have collected almost 55 pounds of aluminum so far this year. Fairfield McDonald?s owner Barb Fredrick recently picked up the tabs and said the donation would be credited to the Iowa City Ronald McDonald House. Students are attempting to fill the container again before the end of the school year. Community members can bring donations to the school office to be weighed and added to the container.
