Porter to host Zoom chat on Iowa birds of spring

Diane Porter will lead a discussion on “Iowa birds of spring” at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 15 over Zoom.
Porter will focus on the birds that you're likely to see here in Southeast Iowa in May. She'll talk about birds that nest here, as well as the special guests who can be seen only during spring migration.
Learn how to lure gorgeous, orange Baltimore Orioles and Ruby-throated Hummingbirds to your backyard. You'll also get tips on how to spot and identify migrating warblers.
Diane is a lifetime birder. She has published more than 100 articles on birds and birding in national magazines and has spoken at many state and national birding events. For more than 30 years, Diane and her husband Michael have owned and operated the website www.Birdwatching.com.

The library is open Monday through Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 6 pm, and on Saturday from 1-5 p.m.
