Post 29 American Legion

Post 29 American Legion met at its regular time with Ron Brock commanding. Jim Peterson, adjutant, reported on finances and membership. Two members have passed away since the last meeting: Wayne Gamon and Bill Perdock. The First District spring conference will be held Saturday April 18 in Columbus Junction. Mike Worley reported on graveside services which the post has provided for. Upcoming events are: flower delivery for Mother's Day and the food stand operation for cruise night May 9. A steak fry will be held on May 16 for all members in the first district at Marr Park with Jeff Johnston preparing the steak and members are asked to provide a potluck dish. Lonny Milligan spoke on the food stand operation for the fly-in on June 7 and the Relay for Life/Cruise-in scheduled for June 13.

Veterans of any service are invited to meetings held at the Blair House the second Tuesday of each month at 7 p.m.
