Prairie Pride Club

The regular meeting of the Prairie Pride 4-H Club was held at the Extension office on April 13, 2014.

The meeting was called to order by Holly Vittetoe at 5 p.m. The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Jenah Greiner. Roll call was answered by 25 members by answering a question with a suit of cards they received. The secretary?s report was given by Holly Vittetoe and approved by Gracie Greiner and Morgan Brinning. The treasurer?s report was given and approved by Taylor Brinning and Morgan Brinning.

In old business, discussion was held on project meetings, FSQA, volunteering at PAWS and More, and the pancake breakfast. In new business, a reminder was given to read the newsletter closely for 4-H information, as there are some fair changes as well as state fair details. Junior camp is June 10-12 at the Iowa 4-H Center. May 15 is the deadline for online sign-up for livestock exhibitors. A reminder was given for members to mark their calendars for their assigned week to help on the flower bed. The Washington County Fair is July 13-18. There is a new breeding gilt class. Sheep/goat weigh-in was scheduled for May 3. Clothing event sign-up is due May 15. Gracie Greiner and Morgan Brinning approved and seconded a motion to donate $50 to the 4-H?ers campaign. State 4-H conference is June 24-26. Clover Kid mentors are needed in the sheep, goat, clothing and rabbit project areas. The meeting was adjourned with the 4-H pledge led by Taylor Brinning.

Presentations were given by Gracie Greiner on ?FX Makeup,? Isabel Bailey on ?Basketball Skills,? Payton Cuddeback on ?Snickers Truffle? and Sydney Cuddeback on ?Peanut Butter Brownie Pizza.? Refreshments were served.
