Pray for healing of our country

As the presidential campaigns progress toward the national conventions, it is becoming apparent to me that it could possibly be that when we go vote in November, there may not be anyone that represents moral or honest traits on the ballot for president. You want to feel good about who you vote for, instead of voting for the ?least of two evils,? or not voting at all because you don?t like either candidate.

I look at the direction that our country is heading and it grieves me. We can get as politically active as we want, and I believe we should, but the moral decay of our country is the problem. We receive from the ballot box what the majority of the people want. Sad to say, so far the majority wants people who, though they say they are for America, believe in things that are not godly.

2 Chronicles 7:14 says, ?If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.?

God is talking to his people. The solution to our problem is not who is running for president, but the condition of the heart of the voters. If our country is to survive another eight years, we have to have a revival of godliness. The church needs to fast, pray, repent, and seek, for we have a promise of healing of our land. People?s hearts need to turn back to God. Then they will have the ability to choose the right person for the president of this great United States of America!
