Preregistration under way for Cure for Addison run
Preregistration is under way for the third annual A Cure for Addison 5k Run/Walk.
The event is to raise awareness about spinal muscular atrophy. Adddison Tarrence, the 5-year-old daughter of Josh and Kara Tarrence of Fairfield, lives with SMA, which is a motor neuron disease, according to Families of SMA website, www.fsma.org.

Preregistration is under way for the third annual A Cure for Addison 5k Run/Walk.
The event is to raise awareness about spinal muscular atrophy. Adddison Tarrence, the 5-year-old daughter of Josh and Kara Tarrence of Fairfield, lives with SMA, which is a motor neuron disease, according to Families of SMA website, www.fsma.org.
The Cure for Addison event will be Aug. 28 in Central Park.
The event will include the 5k fun run and walk; a kids? 1 mile fun run; a bouncy house, crafts, face painting and tattoos for kids; and a vendor event from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., with 20 booths offering a variety of items.
According to organizers Amy Miller and Summer Lisk, runners should register by Aug. 10 to receive a T-shirt.
Registration for the run will be at 8 a.m. Aug. 25.
