Preservation Commission discussed goals for 2018 at end-of-year meeting

The Henry County Historic Preservation Commission met Wednesday, Nov. 15, at the Henry County Emergency Management Center for the Commission?s final meeting of the calendar year.
Commissioners were updated on the status of several projects, including historic signage, website development and the Wayland/Jefferson Township survey of historic properties. The Commission reviewed its accomplishments in 2017 and discussed goals for 2018 that will be presented to the Henry County Board of Supervisors in January.
Several off-site meetings are planned throughout Henry County in 2018 in the communities of New London, Swedesburg and Hillsboro. Guests attending the meeting were Pat White, of Mt. Pleasant, and Gwen Francy, of New London. Subject to availability, the next Commission meeting is expected to be Thursday, Jan. 18, 2018, preceding the Commission?s report to the Board of Supervisors.
