Program on glider infantrymen July 31 in Mt. Pleasant

The Henry County Heritage Trust is sponsoring a program on glider infantryman in World War II. It will be presented by Kevin Brooks, co-author of the book “Glider Infantrymen: Behind the Lines in WWII.”
The event will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 31 at the Henry County Heritage Center Museum at 403 W. Madison St. in Mt. Pleasant. The event is free, and donations are appreciated. Refreshments will be provided. For questions, call 319-385-4983.
Attendees will hear about the World War II service of Wayland native Don Rich (who co-authored the book with Kevin Brooks), the intense fighting and Don’s brave truck-driving cousin from Trenton.
