Progressive Agriculture Safety Day to be held
The Washington County Extension Office will host the annual Progressive Agriculture Safety Day. The camp will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Thursday, June 4, at the Washington County Fairgrounds. The Washington County Extension Office will host the annual Progressive Agriculture Safety Day. The camp will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Thursday, June 4, at the Washington County Fairgrounds. There will be a cost per child that includes a T-shirt, goody bag, snacks, and safety information. All youth who have completed kindergarten through third grade are encouraged to attend. Parents are welcome to attend as well. Youth will need to bring a sack lunch.
Highlights of the day include a variety of safety topics including: sun safety, water safety, electrical safety, bike safety, ATV safety, PTO safety, equipment safety and much more. Participants will be able to test their knowledge of farm safety, their own reaction times in an emergency, and learn how to be safer in their communities.
