Public hearing Wednesday on proposed hog confinement in Jefferson County

A public hearing will be held on the Master Matrix proposed by Tom and Jacob Adam, who are planning a 3,720-head hog confinement for 2704 Salina Road in Buchanan Township in Jefferson County.

The public hearing will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 12, at the Cambridge Building at the Jefferson County Fairgrounds. Verbal comments will be limited to three minutes. Masks are required. Written comments may be submitted at the meeting or at County Auditors office at the Jefferson County Courthouse no later than 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 12.

A public scoring session will occur at 9 a.m. Friday, May 21 at the Jefferson County Supervisors’ Office in the Jefferson County Courthouse, which will be available to watch on Zoom.
