Tuesday?s inclement weather had a toll on Henry County sports. Two of the area?s teams were rained out, and both contests have been cancelled.
The Iowa Wesleyan women?s soccer team was scheduled to host Faith Baptist Bible College at 5 p.m., in what would have been the first fall sports event of the year for the University. That game was rained out, moving their home opener back to Sunday, Sept. 2, when they host Alverno College at 3 p.m.
The Mt. Pleasant cross-country teams were set to run in Williamsburg on Tuesday as well. That meet had already been moved back two days to Thursday, Aug. 30, but the Panthers couldn?t make it that day so the meet has been taken off the schedule.
Mt. Pleasant cross-country will now begin their season on Saturday, Sept. 1, when they hit the road to run at Pella in a meet starting at 9:30 a.m.
